Google Shopping Cart to support all ecommerce products and services
eCommerce in 2017 is rapidly evolving and becoming more complex.
While Amazon and eBay are widely known as the leaders of ecommerce, the world is growing and the number of sellers and their business models is rapidly growing.
The rise of digital platforms like Shopify and Etsy means that many sellers are using their platform to sell products or services.
Today, eCommerce vendors are faced with many challenges and there is much that needs to be done to support them in the eCommerce space.
One such challenge is that eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Shopify Marketplace, Etsy, and Shopify Seller are not natively supported in Google Shopping carts.
With Google shopping carts becoming more popular, ecommerce platforms are now required to support these products in their cart interfaces.
To address this, we have added support for Google Shopping cart APIs to our Marketplace APIs.
This is a major change in our API ecosystem as it means that all existing Marketplace APIs, and therefore all existing eCommerce apps, will be able to support Google ShoppingCart APIs.
This is a very big win for both our eCommerce customers and eCommerce developers.
In the coming months, we plan to continue adding new Marketplace APIs to help sellers integrate Google Shoppingcart APIs into their apps.
