e commerce giant Amazon has opened a warehouse in New York City for its own e-tailers, according to a Reuters report.
The e-Commerce giant said it has been in talks with local businesses and retailers to get equipment for its warehouses in New Jersey and Delaware, Reuters reported.
It plans to build a 50,000-square-foot facility that it hopes will serve up to 1,000 e-business customers in New Brunswick and New York.
Amazon plans to expand into the United States later this year, the report said.
It said Amazon is the second-largest e-retailer in the world after eBay.
It also has an e-book store and other products, such as Amazon Kindle books.
